CARB FLOODING!

So my carb has been flooding and choking my car out.. i adjusted the float several times and it didnt help were thinking the float is just satcherated with gas and it wont float.. any other ideas of what it could be? suggestions would be much appreciated

Not too smart on carbs, just enough to tune 'em by sight, sound and smell But you running an electric fuel pump or mechanical? If electric are you running a regulator? Do you have the problem at idle, or when driving, or when stopping, etc?

its a mechanical fuel pump and its when its in a low idle when stopped
