Has anyone ever replaced the rear main seal on one of these six's (170 to be specific) ? Would you mind sharing your experience. Difficult / Easy ? Problems? etc etc Im debating on if I should try and replace myself in my drive way or hire a professional for a few hundred dollars to replace a 15 dollar part. Any experience would help.

Rear Main Seal
Have you replaced a rear main seal before with the engine in the car?
It is no more difficult than any, possibly easier than alot, I don't really remember there being anything in the way to cause problems and I would check the oil pump and bearings while the pan was off if I was doing it.
And if you are fairly mechanical but have never done anything like this before it is easy but if you are not comfortable with it I would hire it done.
