Are the 65 Comet and Falcon trunk lids the same?
What about 64 ,are they the same as 65

No 1965 is one and only.

Yes all 65 comet trunk lids are alike.

I thought I read the posts were shorter than the hardtops. Doesn't mean it's true.

I think they are for a '64 (because I need a sedan lid), but John would know on the '65.

Have y'all ever looked at a hardtop lid? or rather the space between it & back window? it is big enough for a luggage rack ok I'm exaggerating ,maybe a ski rack. But I remember Roy saying they were all a like.

All ‘64 sedan and hardtop/convertible decklids are the same. Here is a page from the Factory parts manual, model 71 is a wagon so obviously it does not interchange. This also applies to ‘65 models.

Part number 1965- C5GY-6240110-A

Ok I will admit I had been misinformed in the past then, might make finding a replacement trunk lid for my Comet a bit easier.
