Interior lamp

Post by BJB »

Our 65/66 Falcons borrowed heavily from the 63 Mercury Comet. i.e front sheet metal, dash, speedo bezel....the front turn indicators were '59 Edsel.. The Fairmont, was one of the models released in that Falcon series that was a top spec unit. The wagon version has a lamp in the cargo area that no one here has seen before . Ford Australia went through the parts bin when they were making our cars....
Anyone recognise this lamp in the Ford family????

cheers

I think I've worked it out...a local gent who owns a Fairmont wagon identified the lamp as being made by Hella. Ford OZ also used Hella lamps for reversing lights for the sedan and wagons for 65/66. So all these lamps were locally sourced. Hella, a German company has been here since '61.
