lower fender to rocker mounting cage bolt

Does anyone know if the Mustang lower fender cage bolt will work on a 65 Comet? I would assume it would but the vendor couldn't confirm that when I called to them. He said the Mustang has a square hole that it goes into. When I looked at the one on my car it is more rectangle, I think I measured at 1/2 wide by 3/4 long.

I would think so. I used some I had left over from a 57 Fairlane. Think ford used the same in many cars.If you want I will look tomorrow to see if I have a few more if you didn't get some already.
