Racing stencils

Post by lavron »

I am looking for some stencils for racing numbers, interested in the number 17and smaller ones for my name etc, like a classic stock car. would do the graphics in single stage white or yellowso it could be eaisly sanded and painted over later

See Ya,

Period correct would be hand painted, if you're going for it.

I believe I'm going to go period correct S/S look on my car as I get the moolah.
Doubt if I go for the paint scheme but a few vintage decals would be very cool. Here's a cat named Jimbo sells 'em- https://nostalgicracingdecals.com/shop/

I was just hoping for a cheap stencil that I could reuse a few times. the reason for wanting 17 is I bought the on June 17, 1979 when I was 17 I started this last rebuild on June 17 2018. so I figure the number 17 must be significant  All the number etc would be temporary until I tire of them  or paint the car mettalic of some color yet to be determined  Probably not red

You could probably get a local print/sign shop to print it on a sheet of magnetic vinyl. Then you could stick it wherever/whenever you want.
