63 Comet dash pad

My '66 round body Australian Falcon shares a lot of commonality with the 63 Comet. When I purchased the car the dash pad had been removed due to cracking/fading. I still have the dash pad but repairs are quite expensive. I notice that Dearborn Classics sell retro dash pads for the early Falcons but my dash is like your 63 Commet.

Can retro Comet dash pads be purchased in the USA, and if so what company does a good job?

Bruce

I have not seen 63 comet dash pads available. I have not looked real hard though. I took mine out of my 63 22 years ago. Never replaced it.

Thanks mate. Does the Comet dash look the same as my dash. Same profile?

It does look the same to me. The trim strip looks the same as well as the two screw down corner pieces. I've only seen one or two used 63 comet dash pads come through EBAY in the last 5 or 6 years. Not too easy to find, but i'll keep an eye open for you. Mark

Thats a ball park figure that our vinyl dash repair people are quoting to repair an original.
