New guy in Delaware

Post by Sparky »

Hello! Thanks for having me, I've got a 65 Comet in progress that I picked up in pieces. Like nearly every nut and bolt was off of it, good times. Looking forward to digging into the forums

It is so easy to tear them apart, not so easy to put them back together correctly. I see more and more "projects" for sale that are torn down and they give up. Good luck, you are in the right place for any questions. Someone on here should be able to help. Glad you found us!

Welcome aboard, Sparky! :D Start you a build thread in 64-65 Comets so we can follow along as you figure out how to insert tab A in slot B. Lots of other builds on that forum that may prove helpful to you, too. Pictures help us all better understand what's going on. Here's how to post them:

Hey Sparky,

Where in DE? My daughter lives in Wilmington so I get out there a few times a year. If you're close, I'll stop in and tell you all the things you are doing wrong ;)

Currently just getting it back on the road, eventually replace the pitted trim and paint. Small victories ha

Wow! When I read your first post, I thought you had just gotten the car as a basket case. Obviously, there's been a lot of work between the first and second pics, and you don't need a lot of advice on how to put it back together. We're still interested in some in-progress pics if you have them.
By the way, is that a hydraulic clutch reservoir I see under the hood?
