1964 Caliente

Post by RNBlaine »

I am the proud caretaker of a 1964 Comet Caliente 4-door that was purchased new by my grandmother and a friend, and passed down through the family. She was billed as “The Ladies’ Lincoln” and matches the auto show brochure with that title nicely. According to her build sheet she was special ordered from the Los Angeles plant with a build date of September 18, 1963. She is all original, except for an updated air cleaner, and sports a K code 289 with 4bbl carb, factory air and original seat belts. She was ordered with AM radio only, as FM was not yet aired in the southern Willamette Valley.

Welcome on ! :D Having a car passed down would have to be cool, wondering where all she went in it & thinking about her every drive! :D

Welcome aboard! :D Knowing the provenance and cool stories is special. Not many out there that have been in the same family since new. Let's see some pictures of her. Here's how:
