Car is in my yard. Ha ha
Arkansas is where my yard is. Just kidding around guys.

I'll try to post pictures.

Re: New here
I would do better having pictures printed and sent to y'all's mailboxes.
Thanks for trying to help.
There's a reason I chose a Carburetor, points and coil( not coil pack) no computer car.
But it's a four door sedan, primer grey
13 inch tire, three on the tree, in need of new floor pan.
We are keeping it a 6 cylinder 1 barrel close to original as we can.

Hey … Greg here
I’m starting my second redo on my 65 404 so I’m signing up and probably looking for sources - parts and ideas
Seeing a Comet anywhere is a rare thing these days yeah? They’ve always been rare to me .. kinda why I like them.
Iv previously owned everything from a couple early elcaminos to a string of GTOs - Chevelle’s Novus a ranchero but Iv held onto my first car my 35 ford three window all along.
Iv owned this thing for about thirty years
I bought it from the salvage pool for fifty bucks originally
It was the light silver blue original with the left rear corner crushed in about ten inch’s.
I put a quarter - half a back end and a deck lid on it from parts cars and spent a good deal of time prepping it for Wimbledon White … new carpet - seat upholstery lowering E-Ts and some duel exhaust Granda spindles rebuilt front end … it made for a cool driver.
I daily drove it for a good ten years with the orig 289 fighting rust flakes in the coolant the entire time.
Finally I built a budget 302 but that never ran right. I finally parked it for something more comfortable w ac. It’s probably been sitting at least 15 years now.
I moved from California to Georgia five years ago … So I just now had the Comet brought out here.
Plans are fluid right now
Its definitely getting new red reproduction interior - a five speed and air conditioning
I have a fresh 4v Cleveland lined up as of yesterday.
I’m torn between a Thunderbolt - drag car style look or a more conservative kinda muscle car day two look with red line tires.
Anyways that’s about it for now
Thanks
Greg

"But cool stance on it! comes to mind first thing.
Has the top been chopped a tad? windshield laid back or something ?"
Agreed, great stance!! And I think that's why the roof looks lower.
It takes some work to get the front spindle centerline that high in the fender openings.
I looked at the pic real close and there are no giveaways to a chop.

Re: New here
Just had double hernia surgery.
So wife's Comet is going to set a while longer.
Good news on the engine, it is not seized up!
Moved it by means of belt and fan, just a little.
Suggestions on spark plug wires?
Local dealers or order from where.
Y'all have a blessed day.
