After market dual exhaust
After market dual exhaust
Hello from Michigan. Finishing up my 64 Caliente. Did a motor and trans swap from a 1988 Lincoln Mark 7. I would like to put my own exhaust on it instead of a shop. I can't seem to locate a company that will sell the complete kit from the manifolds back. Maybe there isn't one. If you know what would work let me know
Re: After market dual exhaust
First off welcome to the forum!
Would like to hear more and see your swap, pics please.
Carb or injectjon?
Maybe no kit but a few mandrel bends, some straight stock and a pair a mufflers is about the same thing.
Afterall, in Michigan you've got some time before the cruizin season,,,? Lol

Re: After market dual exhaust
I'm also from Michigan. Did my exhaust years ago, but just put 2.25 manifold back exhaust on my dad's 65 a few weeks ago. We used an h pipe and flowmaster kit for a 67 mustang we bought from CJ's mustang. Everything bolted into place, even part going over the axle was fine, only issue is the exhaust ends about 1.5 feet short of the rear bumper. To solve that he bought 18 inch stainless tips. Sound great and did it ourself in a weekend.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to get some photos uploaded.
I went with a 600 edelbrock carb and a performer rpm air gap Intake
MSD. I bought a disc brake conversion kit and haven't installed yet
Yes--- I have time since I'm in Michigan
My first car was a 64 comet 404 2 door sedan with a 260. Wrecked that on Christmas Day 1971. Since then I've had 4 more and just have fun restoring them. Thank again and I'll get some photos posted
