Found and bought this '64 Cyclone locally on the marketplace today. Was all around a great buying experience.

Body, floors and trunk are in very good shape.

Has a running 289 4 barrel. Originally a 3 speed manual, converted to C4 automatic. Planning on putting a 3 speed back in it and will shelf the C4.

Other than the drivers door panel, all the original interior is there along with all the original exterior trim, hub caps and underdash AC unit.

This will be my 3rd project. One I'm looking forward to.

Like my first build, I plan to start a build thread and post progress along the way.

Wife busted her knuckles shifting it and wouldn't drive it again. That was a good thing

Thanks, originally 3 speed on the floor. Have plans to install the original 3 speed to put back in it. Even the pedals are still in the car.

I do not remember a three speed manual on the floor as an option in ‘64 or ‘65.

My point as well, Jim. I don't have the numbers for the 3-speed column application for '64-'65 Cyclones but they did exist, as I can testify.
I haven't seen a 3 speed restoration, either. The guy restored my car pulled the bench seat and 3 speed. Replaced with buckets, console and Toploader. I wonder how many restorations got the same treatment.

I think I know where your going with this Joe. I went through all the parts inside the car and the folder of paperwork they had to give me. I found the column shifter they removed in the trunk and found a picture of the interior in it's early years.

I have a factory Cyclone brochure in my files, I also found it on line to share with everyone. It states that a Cyclone was available with a three speed manual as standard equipment, the automatic and floor mounted four speed were optional. It does not state that the three speed was floor mounted.
