I actually put the cart before the horse as I’ve already posted a couple of times. I’m new to the forum but have owned my 65’ Caliente for almost 30yrs. Believe it or not I’ve never driven it. I promised myself when I started this adventure that I wouldn’t sacrifice the end product for the sake of money. Then, like most things, life happened. Two kids later and colleges paid for I’m back in the game. Bear with me if I ask some redundant questions.
In the meantime help me get the stance right. I hate the sagg in the rear end.

The rear of your car is not too low... the front is just to high! (My opinion)

So simple. I never even considered the front being too high. When I rebuilt the suspension I went back with stock components other than the 1” sway bar. Could that be binding it up?

The sway bar should not have anything to do with the ride height. Chances are the spring rate is too high, disconnect the front shocks, if the car does not sit lower then you can rule them out. You could use a shorter spring with the stock wire size so that the ride height is lower but not loose the ride quality. Cutting the coils will hurt the ride quality.
I like them low, I plan to adjust the struts in mine to lower the front another 1/2”, I cannot go much lower because I only have about 3 1/2” of clearance right now from the ground to my header collector.

Actually it’s a Mustang color from the 90’s. When I had the car painted, a wise man told me to use a stock Ford color for future needs. In hindsight it was great advice. I think it’s called Toreador Red Metallic.

I did the same thing when i painted my 66 Mustang GT fastback. It was an original red car, I repainted a late model Mustang color "torch red". Nice thing is, since I drive it alot, that I can buy touch up paint anywhere for those occasional rock chips.

Doubt the anti toll bar is binding up.
Did you happen to tighten the suspension bushings with the front end hanging? That'll certainly add spring rate and fide height.
Loosen the mounts and let the car sit on the springs for a while to see if that helps.

You have a very nice looking car. Nice an clean. I'll have to agree with everybody else on the front. I removed the coil springs altogether and installed Viking coil over shocks in the front which allows me to set the height were I want it.
