Andy a newcomer

Post by bowsawkid »

My name is Andy I’m 70 years old and retired from the US Navy for 29 years I was an AS ground support mechanic and retired Senior Chief Petty Officer and an automotive mechanic since I was 16 and recently sold a ‘73 Comet 2 door and now acquired a ‘62 S-22 from my ex-wife that sat for 40 years and I’m going to resurrect it , I’m in Sacramento Ca and luckily there is no salt in the air or roads so old cars don’t rust out much here so far this Comet forum seems like a good place for info

Welcome, Andy. You'll find that this group is full of very positive, helpful members. Glad you found us.

Welcome , Great to hear of another 'Jet-Age' Comet being resurrected. The early cars have iconic MEL design styling and the S22 usually has the added "Buck Rogers" center console, custom steering wheel, decent bucket seats, fancy badges...

Pictures soon please !

have fun

Welcome aboard Andy! I've also got a rust free Sacramento car (20 years stored). I've only been in this group for a few months and have gotten a lot of great information and support. I don't think you'll find a better forum.

Welcome Andy, you’re at the right forum for help with your ride, these folks are great. Sounds like that should be a super project, and with minimal rust. Post some pics when you get a chance.

You definitely put some years in serving UNCLE, thank you for your service!
