Welcome! Nice ride, what kind of times you running with that bad boy?

Do you have a code (part # thx Johno 👍) on the spindle, and might the Mustang spindles work?

Very good friend of mine owned this car. Dick Lux passed away just after the turn of the new year.
I have been helping liquidate for the family, in going over the car for new owner we discovered that right side lower ball joint needed to be replaced and that the right spindle did not look right. That is the reason for wanting to locate correct spindle to install for new owner. I know I don’t want new owner having issue and want to get it fixed before he takes possession of it.

Car runs the 289/210/223 combo with 1.12 4100 autolite carb with a C4 low gear trans and 7000 stall converter.
NHRA legal motor for Super Stock runs 10.70 @ 124 mph at 3345 lbs with driver across the scales(min weight).

Thanks For all your help in advance just want the car right, I owe Dick Lux and the new owner at least that.

Thanks

It's possible that he put newer 65 spindles & steering linkages, have you checked the part numbers on them ? some good comparison pics here to look at;
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=15083

or if you post up pics of the linkages we can probably tell. be better to figure out ahead of time what you have .

Like Johno says could easily have 3 different steering configurations under it. They don't play well together.
Post pics of outter tie rod and Inner tierod to center link. That will tell the tale or check the pics in Driveline the steering thread.
Good luck with finding the car a good home!

Did anybody notice the stall rpm!! Redline must be close to the moon!
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

I'd die if my '64 could do a wheel stand like that. WOW! Just wow...
Welcome!
