1963 S-22 with 260/4sp

Recently bought this. Joining the forum to get information on upgrades to brakes steering and suspension.

Dude, that's a very rare car, indeed 8)

It's a shame we don't have production numbers for these old cars. Vast majority of '63 1/2 S-22s were hardtops & ragtops, not sedans. A lot of them came with 170 cid engines & most came with Merc-O-Matic 2-speed automatic transmissions.

CSRP is a great disc package lots of us have used as well as chockostang.

Welcome aboard! :D Between asking questions and skimming through build threads, you should be able to find the answers to just about all of your Comet questions. Like Joe said, you've got a pretty rare combination in your car. There were 6303 '63 S-22 sedans built, but I doubt many of those had a 260 V8 and 4 speed. It's a great looking car!

Very nice Comet!
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.
