Dude, that's a very rare car, indeed
It's a shame we don't have production numbers for these old cars. Vast majority of '63 1/2 S-22s were hardtops & ragtops, not sedans. A lot of them came with 170 cid engines & most came with Merc-O-Matic 2-speed automatic transmissions.

Welcome aboard! Between asking questions and skimming through build threads, you should be able to find the answers to just about all of your Comet questions. Like Joe said, you've got a pretty rare combination in your car. There were 6303 '63 S-22 sedans built, but I doubt many of those had a 260 V8 and 4 speed. It's a great looking car!

Very nice Comet!
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.
