Fred is one of my heroes :P I guess that is not hard to figure out why

Seriously, following him on this forum over the years has been inspirational to me as others here have as well, I don't think I would have made it as far as I have on my Comet without this place and I am not doing anything exactly like anyone else but everyone is always willing to lend advice and more when they can.

See Ya,
Mike

Got the sub box covered and installed. Did very little this winter. Maybe the warm weather will change my attitude.

You gonna rattle everybody's windows, Fred???
To each his own but you can't hear the frequencies those speakers put out. You feel them.
Take it from an old bass player

I like it! Stealthy speakers hidden behind the seat.

Well in the hardtop I had the back window out n in many times on the same gasket. Now that it's glued in that wont be happening any time soon!
I never used the rope system, I got it centered, dropped it in the lower channel then took an old screw driver with a hook bent in the end and worked the gasket over the lip.
Took out out in reverse order

Yep ! lotsa people dont even use any glue. some add some at the bottom only. If I ever put mine in they will be glueless. if they leak I may add glue!

My rear window is installed different than yours.
It is glued cause I cut most of the gasket off and made it a flush fit.
The stock rear gasket never leaked after having it out several times but when I replaced the windshield I had to add some gue to seal it.

Well today in the 70s, yesterday was 80 something and the first 3 days of June,,, mid 90s!!!
We don't get much 90 stuff, a bit in August generally. Hot weather early can be a bad sign,, forest fires!
