Mine is street legal, those are Hoosier Quicktime DOT's out back. But, the 4.56 gears and a top loader (no overdrive) don't make it very fun to go any kind of distance, they are fun around town though.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.

Hey Man,I undestand, after all I had the same combo in
Sassy for years and round town YAHOO! highway, not
so much after about 20 minutes.
IF this did happen and you did trailer it I would expect a
ride after all it is street legal. Only thing better than
drivin a 4speed is watchin someone drive a 4speed.

That is a promise Fred. I don't know about Missouri but our local drag track can be rented for an event for $3000. That gets you 40 cars in and 100 spectators. I think it is $60 extra each car after the first 40. Not really that bad when you spread it out over all the attendees.SASSY wrote:

Oh yeah, back on topic of classic pictures. Here is a picture of my mom back in April 65 on the hood of their 65 Cyclone.

Heres a few pics that shows how the fuel injection
was added to the car. It is necessary add a line up
to the engine compartment and add a return line from
the high pressure tank. The return line into the stock
tank is a piece of tubing soldered through the mount face
of the sender.
The unit is mounted semi vertical between the tank and the rearend.
The reason for this type of system is air. When the main tank gets low
on fuel the pickup will catch air that a carborator can vent it but there
is no venting in injection so then the car has a big hesitation when the air
gets to the injector. This type of system puts the high pressure pump in fuel all the time.

Mounting the motor in the car did pose a few opprotunities to
fabricate and weld!!!!!
I used the V6 engine side of the mount and the chassis side of the
351C mount from the last swap and metal and rubber in between.
Works good!
The rear mount was just more!
The tunnel had been cut for several shifters over the years so I
cleaned that up then shaped a piece of 2x1/4 to replace the brace
that has to be cut out then welded a lip to that (For what ever reason?)
This tranny mount should put back any strength that I cut out!
I did use the stock rear mount, but removed the liquid? thing and ran
a bolt through it to the mount.
