Just in from shop Fred, and have been using light bulbs to keep warm. Going to go look at house next week as it has a very large shop with heated floors.

I picked up a hitch at a swap meet have no idea what it was for and modified it to fit.

Attached to bumper bolts at rear

Clamped with bolts at front, someday gonna weld threaded tube into frame rail
so I just use 1 bolt through the bottom on the front mount.

Funny how a trailer hitch seems strange to some and not common on a car these days. As a kid almost all cars had one. I had trailer hitches on a couple of my cars.

A trailer hitch allows me to drive it more!
weather we're going camping or the
the hardware store with my little utility trailer.
Example : I've wanted to go to the Wed. nite
Cruise at Hot Rod Cafe in Post falls,Wa(just outta Spokane)
and Marilyn wanted to go shopping at the Home Depot
in Sandpoint ID. Hooked up the 4x8 utility trailer
grabbed the woman(no she doesn't frequant this fourm)
and had a great time. Did get some sideways looks at
the cafe,but hey they'll get over it and I got to put 6 or
so hours in the Comet!
i do have a little pickup but where's the fun in that?

FRED..I hope I havn't touched a nerve on this trailer hitch thing. I've been kidding with you all along.AS far as tr. htch goes.I got one for my comet yrs ago.Never put it on.Didn't have a need.I have a 1951 ford I put a hitch on it yrs ago to pull a small tr. to car shows out of state.IF i touched anerve or upset you in any way....THAT WAS NOT MY INTENT!!!!!And DON't worry.THE pic's are coming as soon as I get the right stuff to do it with.I hope you have a nice day!THANK-YOU........ROBERT

ROY,?? how long has it been since you saw a y-block?? I still have 1... 312 t-bird motor.Over at my old shop there's a 3 2 set-up/ 2 4 set-up a pair of alum. t-bird valv. covers. I love 2 30 in. glass packs on those ole motors!!![ got many of loud muffler tickets,]. POP.
