Re: 1965 Comet 202 project
Very impressed with your desire to bring this car back, your work ethic is very admirable taking on this project. Keep posting we want to see more of your good work.

It is one of those things where both are great and any of us would take either (or any Comet for that matter) it is just us with a more refined taste prefer the '64sSASSY wrote: I was just stirring the pot, there is a BIT of a rivalry between the 64-5s

You guys can bicker all you want about what looks better 64 or 65, I for one like them both. Both have their own special appeal. Hell 60 to at least 67 are all nice. I wouldn't mind having a whole stable of one each. I have always thought Mercurys were a cut above the rest.

You could always put a 65 front clip on a 64 body like Triston did. That way you could make everyone happy half of the time.

No, they wouldn't do that because they prefer the stacked lights, makes the car look richer! Hey I like and have owned both, must admit I really liked my red "64 but then again I was 19 years old and either the car or me was a chick magnet, cannot remember which the girls preferred.loman wrote:I don't remember but has anybody done the opposite of Tristan? I'd like to see that too. Have no idea who owns that one though I suspect maybe someone up north of me. Maybe they would come to the Falcon Nationals In Sac July 17.
After looking at another pic of it the vehicle is in so cal.

That black Comechero does look good! Then again, so does Ron's. They are both nice looking rides.

My dad had a Ranchero with a '65 Comet front clip & my uncle had a very nice all black '66 Cyclone with a 390. I'll see if they have any pics. I can share. Those cars are the reason I like Comets! -Jim
