!964 Mercury Comet Villager wagon

Post by 64wagon »

I am new to posting photos ...so here is a first attempt at it. :?
This is my 1964 Mercury Comet Villager wagon. As you can see it is a project, but it runs and drives great and is all there. I have been having trouble finding other '64 Villager wagons anywhere on the internet and have written a letter to Ford of Canada in Oakville, Ontario to try and decode the car.
If this photo post works, I'll post another, if not, I'll try again.

Okay...that actually worked :D .
Here is a photo of the rare "gas cap" that I was lucky enough to get with the car.

Though I plan to restore my wagon to it's original state, here are some cool '64 wagons I think are awesome.

Yup, just wiped the drool from my chin. That wagon is cool. I do not think I have ever seen a villager before.
What is even cooler is I will be seeing Billy's Ugly Duckling wagon doing wheel stands like that tomorrow afternoon at Mason Dixon Dragway for the 422 ALLSTARS SERIES RACE .
That is the wagon run under the 422 Motorsports team that Steve (tunnelbolt 65 N/SS build) and I belong to and Steve will be racing against that wagon soon .
I know it is to far for alot of you guys but if you are close to the east coast check out one of there races if you get a chance.
Search 422 Motorsports and look at there schedule for a race near you to help keep N/SS racing ALIVE !!!!!! JIm.

If you did not make it you missed some great racing . The only bad thing was the heat and the ticket I got on the Pa Turnpike doing 91mph in a 65 mph zone OuCH !!!!!

Well hello, i bought this unit the other day. Seem the owner had to move it out as he was moving and had no room to put it. His loos is my gain. My hobbie is building resto mods and I'm really looking forward to getting on this project. I plan on doing some minor mods to it such as a custom paint job and some custom wheel . other then that i plan on keeping the interior stock as well as the drive train. It will be freshed up of coarse. First things first is to get the interior stripped and burnt as the mice had a fieldday in there. will update with picts when i start.
