Growing up in the sticks we never had a moon on the door but it was a two holer and had a concrete floor, the worse thing was the scorpions at least for a 6 or 7-year-old boy, never went out there after dark, of course, us boys had it made and we just whizzed off the back porch at night :P

That is enough crappy talk :? I like the Comet as well, I am glad to see it running and on the road, keep it up.

See Ya,

Going to get it all fancy :P wide whites would look good on there but I bet they are pricey. I wanted white letter tires on my Comet but the 16" wheels on back sort of made that impossible so black-walls it is for me, the 60s have the style for whitewall tires IMO and you have that patina look that many desire, my car was just rusty and had almost no paint on it so I m going to paint it after 40 years  keep posting up pictures & videos, I enjoy seeing them.

Haha. I refinish vintage furniture for a living so I got a lot of it next to it!

I paid $230+- for all 4 tires so they weren't expensive. The wider whites are much pricier.

As for the rust, I just got done 14g steel for the frame. The driver side isn't very good. The passenger side is fine enough and just needs one small plate patch I'll do.

Yep, the old wide whitewalls and redlines are now considered vintage tires and up goes the price.
They were cheap back in the day but they aren't mass produced as they once were, hence the cost. Bummer. :(
