Well made it to the Brickyard.. drove the autocross again. Respectable time 57.3 the pros were down to 45s. Also got to drive a lap on the 2.5 mile track topping out at around 65. Gonna go back tomorrow and walk the show, today was all cleanning and autocross and swap meet. Try and put up some more pics also.

Thanks and your welcome to the idea. I stoped in and picked up some vinal from a local sign shop. pulled the rubber trim and stuck it on. i think it helped the looks, noticed f150s have it from factory. I had a great trip and the comet did great. think my chunk is hitting the floor in the rear. and looks as if the oil is leaking from my front shocks. so my winter list is adding up. think im gonna ditch that holley for an autolite 4100 (thanks to another post) and i need a t5 shfiter with stops, probally a hurst.

Check with NAPA for shorter shocks,I had to do that when my Comet was lowered. The stock length shocks would bottom out, finally broke one. ROY.

Just lower the upper control arm, refered to as the Shelby drop by some.
Plus you get quicker neg. camber gain on bump.
Result is awesome turn in on the autocross track.
BTW,, car looks great!

So whats wrong with the Holley? I always thought those were the Holy Grail of carbs...except for the power valve thing.
Does yours have issues?

It may be good. Probally just to worn. Seems alil rich at times. doesnt like sitting in traffic. and that may be the oversize issue.
