That is very cool, your car sounds amazing. I enjoyed the video, looks like a great day at the track.comethead wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 10:03 pmOne of my buddies Omar posted this video of the day at the track. Lots of cool cars! Nice to see it from the perspective of a spectator. Sometimes I get so caught up on running the car I forget to see the cool car show happening.

It was cool to hang out with these younger guys that are full of ideas and are motivated. I think getting them out there and showing them that there’s no black magic involved inspired them to go build their own cars that are track capable.
Seems like the process of getting the car registered and tech’d and actually ON the track is intimidating. Now that they’ve seen it happen I think it’ll be easier for them. Hoping to see a 64 Comet Cyclone and 68 Mustang join me at the next track event

Joe, I clicked on a link at the end of Omar's Willow Springs vid of another one about your car I thought was pretty cool. I like it when he takes a peak inside your 65 Cyclone and comments on how it smells original. Mine has that smell, too.

Wow that is a cool car Fred!! There are exactly ZERO Comets that run at the track. Kinda sad. If this kid can get his going it’s going to be the only one out there.

Haha yeah Jim he came over to check out a Toploader I have built. He’s a very active social media guy (I’m not. It goes in cycles with me. On and off) so he gets everything on video.Jims65cyclone wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 11:17 amJoe, I clicked on a link at the end of Omar's Willow Springs vid of another one about your car I thought was pretty cool.
