Falcon wagon

Post by Joe Travers »

Hey guys,

Saw this one yesterday but got tied up & didn't post.

Is this the same car that was at the Gathering a couple years ago? I believe Pop was snapped in a picture with it, if it's the same car.

Not a fan of the blower coming out of the hood, but it looks like a solid wagon.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.

Don't like obstructed view around cellphone drivers.

If my Daddy would have had it when I was a kid I would have loved it! but now yea X4 here too. obstructed view, with a funnel (for dirt & water to enter) above the intake,I'd have to take that blower off now days. But looks like he has another hood there among other spare parts ,too bad he didnt paint it too when he painted the car. But yea be easy to put it back. be a cool daily driver! :D

That's the car that was at PF in 2022. Owned by Doug (can't remember his last name). Went by the handle Tennessee Trash. He bought it out of California. By the 2023 gathering he'd sold it and bought a 64 Comet. He was there this year with the 64 and had done a lot of mechanical work on it, but still a work in progress. Back in 2022 he said he'd bought the Falcon as a novelty. Said it was a head-turner at cruise-ins, but it wasn't very practical.

I remember in my home town the city works used those 2dr wagons to haul around some kind of meters, water or parking maybe.
They were even that green with yellow gold city emblems on the doors.
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about
