In other words if you and Fred scared me I wouldn’t scream... I’d suck it up and cry later in the dark!!

Falcon report-
Roll cage is trimmed up and mostly fit. Learning new skills by the day!
Tube notching, angle notching and welding for strength AND looks is new to me. I picked up a Lincoln Mig 140 welder and I’ve been practicing a lot. Almost ready for the final installation. That will be a good day!
In the mean time I picked up the battery rear relocation kit, drive shaft loop and a Canton oil cooler kit.
Rocking and a rollin!

Re: 64 Falcon Track Car
Been quite a while since I updated this thread so here we go:
The roll cage is almost complete, installed breather cans on the engine and rear end, installed the big Lincoln front brakes and finally got the track wheels. 15x7 Americans. Still need some track rubber.
I’ve gotten more parts than I can list but as they go on, pics will come.

Update-
The roll cage is fully installed and I’m welding up all the joints as I type!
Fitted the 5 point Simpson harness, I had to drill some holes and tack in some reinforcements for the mounts.
Also installed a set of big front brakes I got from Street or Track. They’re 67 Thunderbird brakes and they’re pretty huge by old car standards. They look just like the stock 65-66 Mustang units but larger.
One more thing- I installed a brace at the master cylinder to reduce firewall flex.
Here are some pictures of my progress

Re: 64 Falcon Track Car
Thanks everyone! It’s been fun for sure!
Hey Fred I’ll be running American Racing 15x7 Torque Thrust D’s. Nothing ground breaking but a good ol classic racing wheel. I’ll have to see how big I can go on the rubber and what I have to do to the wheel wells to make them fit. I’m thinking Goodyear Blue Dots in 6-15 size or Hoosiers which are metric 225’s or so.

Re: 64 Falcon Track Car
Well friends it finally happened, I finished the car Friday morning at 4am and had it at the track at 8am. It ran great!! Lots of power and handles flat and predictable. Still needs fine tuning but being the first time for it and me I am super stoked!!
Thanks to poboy Johnnie for the crash course in front end alignment and for being available for the desperate phone calls!
