Short video of this weekends track event. The Falcon ran great but I destroyed a tire and had to sit part of Sunday out.
I’m wrestling with the GoPro videos so I’ll post another when I can figure it all out

Saturday was a blast! Really got hard on the Falcon and improved my feel for the track. I was pushing her harder than ever. Destroyed my driver side rear tire in the process

On Friday I added a 2 inch carb spacer to the engine. Hoping for a little more top end. Worked out ok but got me a lean condition

Had to rejet the carb on Saturday. Got me back in the 12.5 to 13.5 AFR at WOT

The boys working on the only other Falcon there. A 64 post car with modern wheels and brakes and its Sassy low!

Thanks Joe! It’s not really the video I wanted to post. Getting behind slow cars isn’t fun. I have better footage of me ripping it up that I’m going to post. Once I throw my GoPro against the wall it should work better

The only other Falcon at the track. He had problems with his engine blowing oil out of the breathers and onto the headers. Also his trans blew out the speedo cable plug and lost oil. Rough weekend for my buddy.

I'm digging those FIA baldy valve covers 8)
Maybe your buddy could benefit from a pair of those? Speedway sells a pair cheap w/ double stacks on one side, none on other. Could buy two pair and use double stack on both sides. Bought a pair of homemade ones for FE from an old circle track racer years ago.

Yeah he’s going to reconfigure his valve cover setup. I think he’s going to fab up a set with tall breather tubes like that but with AN fittings for the breather hoses.
I like those Speedway covers! Nice and cheap!

Think cobra dude needs a rear swaybar. especially on right turns.

Joe the car looked like it was handling pretty good ,was it? smooth hands! :D

Ok here’s the vids I wanted to post. Figured out the GoPro finally.

Warm up lap

And I chased this guy for a couple laps but I didn’t give up on this Daytona coupe until he gave me the “pass me” hand wave

Yeah Johnnie it felt great! Very predictable- I can feel the rear just start to leave me in the turns that’s when I know its time to lift a little. Does that with stability and it’ll turn in as hard as I give it. Im very happy with the results.
Im still slower than I want to be but I scared the crap out of myself a couple times this weekend so that’s a big win!
