Re: radiators
Looking @ them today, myself.
It's tempting since radiators have shot up in price this year. IDK

Re: radiators
I have a cheapo aluminum one from eBay seems to be fine and working good so far. Put it in 3 years ago.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.

Re: radiators
Having been exposed to heating problems with my friends modified cars and having too small of a radiator in my Cyclone when I installed the Boss engine back in the ‘70’s I decided I would not scrimp this time around. I did not want my car to run hot, overheat in traffic, or become “ old faithful” when cruising so I did some research and bought this one.

I know it is not cheap, but it looks factory stock and keeps my car cool. I have a stock Boss 302 fan, a shroud, and a high performance 180 thermostat. It is copper because I prefer the look compared to aluminum.

Re: radiators
I've been perusing them as well on ebay. Any opinions on this one?

The deal of the day for stick cars- https://www.ebay.com/itm/264761210415?f ... %3A2047675
All of the cheap ones look like they're sourced from same manufacturer. I think they would look okay if you cleaned up the welds and gave 'em a coat of paint. Just don't know about the cores
Maybe 4 rows are better?

Re: radiators
Since were sharing…here’s the one I have in my Comet:

The factory (ish) looking round top tank sold it for me because I don’t like the look of the square top aluminum radiators.
I painted mine black for the factory look.

Don't sugar coat it, now. Be tough and give me your honest opinion.poboyjo65 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 12:03 amOk remember you asked for it. Dinky. cute but dinkyJims65cyclone wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 11:51 pmI've been perusing them as well on ebay. Any opinions on this one?

Re: radiators
With the input/output on the same side, and vertical fins I wonder how well that would cool the car. My recent journey with repairing my lower radiator hose made me realize I have the wrong radiator in my car...but it works, just requires a 40" lower hose.poboyjo65 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 12:03 amOk remember you asked for it. Re: radiators
I ran the same radiator in my cyclone for many years. Used the Mustang uppper hold down, cut it and reversed the mount. brased in Mustang lower tabs. Back in the mid nineties I had the radiator out of my 67 GT500 and sat it in the cyclone and was surprised at how good it fit. Then ordered one from NPD with mounts and ran it that way till 3 years ago when I put in an aluminum one that uses the stock mounting spots.A/FX wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 10:32 pmHaving been exposed to heating problems with my friends modified cars and having too small of a radiator in my Cyclone when I installed the Boss engine back in the ‘70’s I decided I would not scrimp this time around. Re: radiators
I agree with Joe on the looks of the round top tank as opposed to the square ones. I just don't know if I want to spend that much money at this time.comethead wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 9:50 amSince were sharing…here’s the one I have in my Comet:

Re: radiators
That is the one I have in my Cyclone now, except with bottom inlet on driver side. Bought it 3 years ago when it was half that price.comethead wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 9:50 amSince were sharing…here’s the one I have in my Comet:

Re: radiators
Even though I like the one Joe mentioned, I cheaped out and bought the cheaper square tanked aluminum one.
