double checking

i was double checking that a 1983 302 v8 will fit in a 62 mercury comet with no or very little cutting. im goionmg to swap a 1932 v8 and trans from that year mustang. any information would be helpfull
1962 Mercury Comet 302 with t5 5 spd also 5 lug conversion

It will bolt right in. If your car is a stick remember the 83 block has no provision for the z-bar mount. It can be fabricated fairly easily or purchased from a Mustang catalog.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.
