forgot to mention I have a 62.... looks like its a junkyard part though

You may want to stay original but I think Ron meant that you can change the whole vent to the newer style/cable operated vent to your 62.

That's right. May not be a direct bolt in but if not should be adaptable. Then you would have a pull knob and no door to mess with.
