I am restoring a 61 Comet for my daughter and one of the front suspension strut mounts is rusted out pretty bad. It is just the thinner part that makes up the front half that connects to the bottom of the core support. I can take and post a picture of it later tonight.
How can I repair that area? What thickness of sheet metal should I use? Is 18 Gauge good enough?
