Has anyone run across a choke cable that enables the use of the stock knob? I guess I could take a stab at ordering a universal one and hope it mates up. Just don't want to use the cheap plastic knobs that come with those and try to keep stock appearance. I have a dummy knob held in place with a narrow screw now, as my car came equipped with automatic choke. Thanks!

Sometimes the knob is threaded on and sometimes it is molded, I usually remove the knob then install a factory knob from the cigarette lighter in the choke cable end. For a trim washer I have used an original manual choke trim washer which is very rare or a washer from the headlight switch. (I machine off the “Headlight” logo then have the washer chromed)

Thanks, Jim! NAPA is my source of choice. Fifteen bucks isn't a deal-breaker if it won't thread on.
May have to get highly innovative on this one to make it work out the way I want.

Thank you, John but those are made for the knobs w/ set screw like the Mustang. Mine is threaded on the '63.
Really like the bezels, though. I need one of them as well, as my car didn't include one with the dummy knob.

No, those are the Falcon knobs. Merc is chrome. High-end stuff
