Alternator set up

Does anyone have a picture of they're 63 comet alternator setup on they're engine Im swapping from 6 to a 302 and alternator is hitting the battery tray I can't figure it out...could use some help....thanks

Hi, On my 63 I used a Chevy battery tray with the nice bottom clamp that I bought cheap on Amazon and turned it sideways and I have no problems now plus it’s much cleaner looking without the top brackets on the battery.

You probably have an early 63, so the radiator support and other parts do no except a V8 with either a generator or an alternator. Seems the previous poster has the answer.

Those cars have pretty big trunks,,,,
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

i figured it out.....the passenger inner fenderwell is different from the 6 cylinder and the v8.....DUH, i just had to open the hood on my s22 and saw it
