Is $3000 for a 62 s22 a good price. I have a feeling that I will not find a 63 no post soon or for a good price. The s22 need restoration but is all there and running.

Seems a tad high. I'd try to get him down in the 2k range.
If you really want a hardtop (no post) you should wait and get one. They come up for sale at times. Where are you located?
I scored a complete not running '63.5 S22 V8 hardtop a few years back. But had to let it go :x
