64 with a 65 front nose

Post by Boss/Cyclone »

Saw this one for sale, interesting mix of the two years. Ton of money for that creation. Those carb intake for the 4.6 were made near me years ago. Don't think they make them anymore.

I think the decimal point is in the wrong place? Almost 65k for that??
‘64 & ‘65’s each have their own merits, but mixing the two body panels is just wrong.
The undercarriage is not very impressive, stock Mustang II crossmember looks like it was stick welded in place. The surface rust on everything is an indication of spray bomb detailing.
Off course this is just my opinion.

Jim I've been contemplating using the lower front portion of a 65 front fender with the kick up.
This would allow me to raise the front wheel opening to run a taller tire at the present ride height without cutting through a body line and maintain the bright work.
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

I understand your point, but how many people besides owners would even notice?
Actually I dont hate it,,, in the full on side view the ends of the car work good with the inlay.

First carbureted modular engine I've ever seen.
Is there a supplier for electronic standalone ignition to bypass ECU?

Different.... nice looking but not a fan of the mixed years.

Looks like they have catalytic converters on it?

Thanks, Boss. Found the MSD box. Edelbrock also makes Victor Jr. intake for it.
When Coyote engine came out, I thought a swap out of a wrecked Mustang GT into 1st gen Falcon would be awesome idea if ECU could be eliminated.

Someone did a pretty good job making the hood scoops,,,,& making the headlights fit. but if he gets 1/4 of that price he'll be very lucky .would take a good chunk of cheese to put the proper front end on it.

I believe that was a YouTube video of a young inattentive dealer, if I remember correctly Fred.
Believe it was posted here last year (?)

I would think that if he got 20 for it he'd be doing good. Would have to be an uninformed, spontaneous purchase.
