OUR '64 CLAIENTE IS DONE

Post by the goon »

Alrighty then,

Our '64 Caliente is done. It's been a long road, but we are happy with the results. I've tried posting pictures with no luck, but hopefully this link will work. All comments/criticism/threats are welcome.

Thanks guys, glad you all like the car. We were worried that the color wouldn't be right, but when we saw it finally painted, we knew it was the right choice.

Certainly in this thread with all be one respondents Comets being red
I as well like the choice of colour and the look of the car in general.
You mentioned The Mercury/Cougar show made me think of a member who ha since passed attending that show and pics being posted here of the event.
Go drive the wheels off it  8)

Well from one of the hold outs on RED, my dad wanted to paint it red, because he painted everything red that he painted and when he bought a new vehicle it was usually red, I just had to say no to red for me (I really like red BTW).

If I was having someone paint my car professionally it would probably go back to Prairie Bronze but because I am going to do it in the shed/outside(ish) no metallic for me and will be Grey. Maybe some day in the far future I will have it painted professionally, but then again Pops will tell you I will most likely will never do that, he is probably right :P  My second choice after the Bronze would be Silver metallic most likely followed by British Racing Green.

Guilty as charged, Cardinal red aka Candy apple red on the non black sheep side of the family. I also had a Rangoon red 65 Cali I flipped way back in the 80's. And now getting ready to build a Apple Red Meyers Manx. Resale red. Uh, I guess I'll leave my wife's hair color out of this, yeah she's red too.
