‘64 Cyclone W/nose job

Post by A/FX »

This was a Cyclone, (no trim on doors or 1/4’s, black around tail lights) now it’s a clown car:

Well, hmm, I really don't know what to say except it can be fixed still all the front end stuff bolts on mostly.

I guess it is the owners car and he can do as he pleases I just he would have owned something besides a '64 Comet the most beautiful car ever made! (I am not biased or anything :P )

As much as I hate to say it, I think they are still working on it and I am pretty sure it is not PS, I think the photo you posted Fred is an earlier version of the car (and it is getting worse)

Here is the picture from the link above, a few things I see that it has had done is they put wider tires on it hacked the rear wheel wells up, cut some off the front bumper so they could steer, possibly rolled the back of the front fender lip under for the same reason. They cut the hole in the hood. I am not sure what is going on with the A pillars, almost thinking this was a sedan that had a hardtop roof added.

I hate to see a Comet destroyed but part of me hopes this thing catches fire

I can see two possible reasons for the build. One, they want to go speed racing on the salt flats. Two, they couldn't afford the Torino Talledaga that they really wanted. Other than that, the only it has going for it is the high tech rear deck closure system that Mike uses!

Cary that's what I seen, sorta when I squinted Torino Talledaga.
One thing I did notice was how the front wheel opening has been lifted.
My car being so low could really use that as I'm limited to a small diameter
tire to stay off the fender. So now I need a pair 'glass fenders to hack up  :P
