64 Hardtop, all new front suspension , 65 manual conversion, A arms, new springs, roller idler, shocks, moog parts, lots of castor. stock rear diff. Going to a road track car look. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-3425712p
Current wheel and tire combo, 14x7 wheels 215/70-14 with 3.25 BS all 4 with curled fender lips in the rear. replacing lower quarter's currently and measuring for wheel and tire combo. Want all four tires the same size and rims if possible. Using this calc,https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/ I think 15x7 with 4.25 BS (6mm offset) and 215/60 -15will clear the leaf spring and fender lip in the rear. Front I cant tell yet, until I get at least the rims. looks real close. Going from 215/70-14 with 14x6 3.5 BS, to 215/70 -15 with 15x7 4.25 BS. should fir in the rear. What about the front? I could go to front rims 15x7 with 4.0 ( 0 mm offset) BS not the (4.25) in the same rim. I might buy two 4.25 BS rims from summit an see how they fit rear, and wait to see how they fit on the front.and go with 4.0 BS if needed. Thoughts ?

I like the idea of buying 2 & checking front & back with them. shipping would not be higher for 2 orders I dont think. I have 215/60/15 for fronts with 3.75 bs. right rubs a little on the opening but I'm pretty sure it is from pulling too much caster with adj strutrods because they aren't real tall.

I have 215/65x15's on the front with 7" rims with 3.75 BS. I occasionally get scrubbing on the front bottom edge of the fender. I would have probably been better off with 205/60x15's on the front. I have 235/60x15's on the rear with 7" 3.75BS rims with stock fender lips that work just fine. No scrubbing.

While continuing work on the 2nd quarter panel replacement, I have been shopping for rims and tires. I need some motivation. Wanted satin black wheels, RWL tires, road racer/ moonshine back-roads vibe. Keeping the comet white with black accents.
Ordered Mastercraft Avenger tires, 215/70-14, same size as on the car now, great for the rutted gravel roads I live on, low profile tires wont cut it.
Wheels: American Racing AR 23 satin black 14" x 7" 3.75 BS. the current rims on it were 14x 7 chrome spoke 3.25 BS. This will move the wheels about .5" inward, as they were so close to rubbing the fender lips.checked the inner clearance should be good.here is some pics of them on a visualizer, on a 65 Ranchero.

https://www.rentawheel.com/product/amer ... iameter=15
The wheel in the visualizer is a 15 but I ordered 14s, got the wheels at Jegs $559.40 delivered
Priorty tires, Avenger GTs were $449.00 delivered

What is lots of caster to you?
Anything over about 3.5 gets real hard to turn manual.
Like the look your talking about!
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

Its been a while since I did it, home job, 3.5? maybe more? Watched some videos , levels, strings tape measure, test rides.Temp till I get it all back together from the accident. Its a B.t.h, to steer but as long as its moving a little, not too bad for me. Also did the open-tracker idler, all new arms, ball joints, 65 steering. There's an old school alignment shop in Prescott AZ, 43 miles from here, take all my vehicles there: Jim's Alignment & Brake Service.
Might remove the trim between the spears as they show some wear, then paint the area black satin, along with the rear panel under the trunk, maybe the grill, to match the ar23 black satin wheels.

Looking good! But you know me, if a rat can sneak under the car it's too high, lol.
Reads like I'd ease up on the castor a bit.
If your planning any ride height or rake change do it before going to alignment shop.
The black inlay down the side should be a nice touch on the white but I do like the detailed rear grill with a black surround though.
Where did you get your quarters?
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

My drive in the pic, shop on the left. Last two weeks we had several 3-4" rains have to grade my drive, had 12" washouts in several spots. I have a tractor. just to get out. My 96 mustang GT is fairly low. https://i.postimg.cc/TwvCXKjh/SDC12176.jpg
https://i.postimg.cc/3wSgJdH3/001.jpg there is a wash in the right side of the pic, that flows into the cattle tank in the distance, it crosses my drive if you can call it that.

215/70-14 is 8.5" tread width & you have manual steering........Armstrong steering but the gravel helps a bit?
I have 8" width & was thinking about going manual. Finally got my PS unit straightened out last week.
Don't think I'm changing w/ osteoarthritic problems.

Beautiful country, reminds me of my Aunt's ranch in SW Texas.
Long steep slopes covered in mesquite. Good barbeque wood.

As long as the car moves a little, even on pavement, I find it worth it. Purely a Bast to drive. Keeps me young 64YO. I dont go more than 25 miles from here unless I go to Prescott AZ, BF-Egypt where I reside.
got a 5.0 80's motor I want to swap in if I have enough time, Also planing on degrading my Exhaust to shorty headers 8" bullets 45 angled to each side.
My other "sophisticated ride" is A 96 GT convertible 4.6L. And for the long Haul 17 Ram 2500 6.4 off road
