1964 Comet Turn Signal Issue

Post by CalienteNate »

So everything was working fine on my car with light and signals, and then the turn signal cam lever busted. I went in and replaced it, but now the left turn signal indicator on the dash consistently blinks and makes the sound like it's on, but it's not blinking on the rear of the car. Anyone seen this issue?

Thanks

Don't know your problem but I'm guessing you'll end up with the steering wheel off and looking for a short in the signal light switch and area of the lever break.

I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

When I was working on mine I had issues with cam in there not making the proper connections, I ended up buying one of the cams with long wires and rethreaded them down the column rewiring under the dash ( I actually added a plug) seemed to resolve my issues. I think mostly the problem was it was the cam was not flat down on the contacts, this is most likely what you are dealing with.
