Did the '65 kick panels use wind lace?

Was wind lance used at the rear edge of the '65 kick panels?
I am pretty sure the answer is NO. I can't find a single image of any car that has it... no matter the trim style...
I'm asking because on my car the RHINO 1964-1965 Falcon, Ranchero, Comet Kick Panels with Speaker Pods leave open a pretty substantial gap between the panel and the door frame sheet metal. I don't think the upholstery screws are going to suck it in enough to close that gap... so I am going to have to get creative in finding some kind of fill material...
