65 Rear trim fasteners

Post by rmertz3282 »

Does anyone have a picture or a source for the fasteners that secure the 3 aluminum trim pieces between the tail lights? I assume it is some type of T-head bolt?

I don't know about availability but mine are fresh out of the ultrasonic. If I can find them today I will post them up. DM

Not sure if you are looking for original, but if you don't care if they are original or not these would work. You can trim the wire to fit or even take the wire off if need be. I use these universal fasteners a lot . They come in many sizes, are cheap and are easy to modify, ( grind to fit etc.) I am thinking this is the right size for the rear panels. But I can check tomorrow when I go to my shop.

If you're talking about the trim pieces across the back of a Cali or Cyclone, this is it.

Thanks Jim. I saw that in the manual but couldn’t find a part number or description. I think I found one actually stuck in a spare trim panel. I was looking for something bigger. The stud is a 10/32. Nevertheless I only found one. The one I found is very similar to this..which I think I have.

That circular object on the threads is a neoprene washer
