Does anyone know if this is normal for the mounted shock location? Seems like it should be centered but it’s tilted toward one side. Could the shock be mounted backwards? Thanks

Re: Shock mounting location
Don't the bushings center it when installed?

Re: Shock mounting location
Like Lou says....
Install top grommet, washer & nut loosely.
Before you cinch nut down tight, pull the shock over w/ nut in the socket (on the ratchet) to center the grommet.
Bottom of grommet has a raised area same diameter as the hole in the top of the tower for fit. Lean into it and tighten it down.

Re: Shock mounting location
You can't mount the shock backwards/upside down. The bottom has an eyelet with a cross bar.

I was thinking it could be spun around on the perch but I don’t think it matters which way it’s bolted on.

Re: Shock mounting location
New ones I installed last year were off-center like yours'.
Just push the extension socket away from the fender w/ palm of your left hand while you cinch it down. No biggie.
