1965 Power Steering Pump
1965 Power Steering Pump
Hello I was wondering if I could get some assistance with this power steering hose from my uncles comet. The metal piece broke off and he was saying it has a sharp bend that would attach to the power steering. He cut the other piece off to use it and attached it to the pump. The pump he has is the Ford Thompson pump where the filler sits on top of the pump. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the hose so I can see about having a new one made at a hydraulic hose shop unless there is a good reproduction made. Thank you!

You should find what you need here:

They also have “concours” hoses. Not sure what the difference is but there’s 3 different pressure hoses

Thank you I will look them up.
Re: 1965 Power Steering Pump
I have attached some photos of the high pressure and return hoses from my uncles comet. I recently purchased concours hoses but they do not match to the original hoses. This is a 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente with the Ford Thompson pump where the filler sits on top of the pump. It has the 289 engine. I am not sure where I could purchase these hoses as I have looked at a few different businesses. Thank you!
