‘64 Cyclone Mecum Glendale

Post by A/FX »

I was going through the docket for the Mecum event in Glendale AZ and saw this:
https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0322-49483 ... y-cyclone/
Obviously not a HiPo but not a bad looking Cyclone.
Goes across the block tomorrow March 17th.

I like it. My 65 was born with the same colors inside and outside. Stock 14" wheels . I want the same tach for my car.

I did not get a good look at the tach but I did see it had crossed checkered flags on the face. Original ‘64 Cyclone tachs had a single flag and the Cyclone emblem on the face. (It looked
similar to the fender emblem.) Maybe ‘65 tachs had the crossed flags, I am not familiar the details of a ‘65.
I just watched a recording of the Comet crossing the block, the “know it all” Bozo’s who announce for Mecum said it was a 271hp car, another group who thinks the “K” always means HiPo. Hammer price was $39k, with fee’s it came to $42.900
Too bad they did not include detailed pictures of the undercarriage and other details of the car in the online description.

Thanks for the update, Jim. I don't watch TV so I'll have to give 'em hell if they post it on YouTube. haha
