I sold a complete interior set of seats with console out of a 65 convertible several years ago, under 1k for everything. Posted a pic here viewtopic.php?p=108564#p108564

Prices have sure inflated 😬

Never!!!
I was being sarcastic with the post. It’s a nice console but I wouldn’t give that for it. No sir!

I need one for my car. I could build a nice one from scratch for $300.

 I tell ya!
The console shells and the little emblem used to be reproduced, not sure it they still are. As well as the coin tray. The tricky part is the lid. Falcon lids are available but not correct.

Cough! Hack! Sputter! And the seam at the back of the lid looks like it's starting to split. The whole thing driving those kinds of prices is the Comet lid with the corral. That's the part that usually fails, not the base, which is universal to Comets and Falcons, and you can get a Falcon repop lid for $130 at Melvins. No repops on the Comet lid.

I've seen several 64 Comet consoles in Canada and none have that lid they are all "Falcon" including mine.
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about
