64 comet gauge cluster wiring help

Starting to re-install the gauge cluster in my 64 comet. Just need to understand which wire goes through the hoop in the back of the cluster. My assumption it’s used to pick up voltage/amps for the amp gauge. But could be wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like the black-yellow wire goes to the amp meter.

I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about
