Wiper switch

Post by Comatt »

Anyone know where I can find a new wiper switch for a 65? I have the dual switch with the button in the center for the windshield washer. Thanks guys!

Look thru this thread before you waste money on a stock switch that wont work like it should.

they were a bad design that failed . & motor is only one speed with delay. if your switch still works for one speed that's as about asgood as it will get with stock parts.

On my 66 there was a circuit breaker (small rectangular metal box) on the switch. Might want to check for that.

Did you figure out if you needed a switch for sure? I was going thru my stuff,getting ready put the 80's truck switch on ,& found my old switch. I was told there are 2 different ones both similar have a different hole in the back of the little knob. Mine has the square hole ;

with a square stem ;

If this is like yours I could sell you my old switch probably a lot cheaper than the NOS ones that come up on ebay ever now & then. I didnt think about it back when you mentioned this,,,,, but I wont need it so I could let it go but I may use my knob so I want to keep it.
