Introducing Betsy

Post by rockhopper29 »

This is Betsy, named after my dearly departed wife. She was the last woman to set behind the wheel. Married over 50 years. We dated in my 66 Comet Cyclone Gt which I bought new right after the Army. I bought Betsy 5 years ago as a finished build from a fine man Doug J. know on this forum as "vicegrip". He knows his stuff. She has a BBf 460 heavily modified, a built C6, 9 in. rear. Is north of 600HP.

Great looking car and great story.

Yeah,Lou,it was a handful.I had a set of 10.5 drag radials on it.If you warmed them up a little,it would launch hard and fairly straight but you had to stay on top of it or you're in the ditch.

I agree with Fred,,,, sounds like fun.

Is this the same Comet that was posted on Mecum a few years back?
