Headers on my 289 Suggestions?
Re: Headers on my 289 Suggestions?
dougs are said to be the best fit. I was told they were a no cuss fit but my pair got cussed on the way in. they have bare & ceramic, auto & manual shift versions.

Hooker Super Comp fits as well.
Mine required some hammer work to clear modified steering shaft for R&P. Stock steering show be cool.

I used Doug's, didn't have to hammer anything. Fit Great.

I have Doug's. Didn't need any hammering but I had to put the headers in the engine bay and wire them in place sort of and then lowered the motor in real slow. It worked good but took a lot of time.

I went with Patriot mid length headers because of the rack and pinion steering shaft and I didn't want the collectors underneath. Really happy with them.

Hooker Super Competition for me no Issues.

I also got the dougs headers for an automatic in my case and didn't need hammering.
